Alternative fuels

Volvo Penta naturally takes a positive view of the introduction of alternative fuels that can help to reduce the impact of diesel engines on the environment in the future.

The alternative fuels commercially available today

are RME (Biodiesel) for diesel engines and ethanol for gasoline engines.
However, these fuels do not meet the requirements according to which the engines
