Volvo Penta IPS opens completely new design opportunities, allowing two, three or four units to be installed. Regardless how many, they are all perfectly integrated with the EVC platform. That means you control a quadruple installation just as easily as you do a twin installation.
With the arrival of IPS1050 and IPS1200, forward-facing efficiency is taken to yachts up to 100+ feet. The most powerful combination provides an equivalent of a massive 4800 horsepower compared to a conventional inboard system.
An extra cabin?
The compact size of Volvo Penta IPS opens completely new design opportunities for the boatbuilder – making it possible to design the boat with plenty of room for accomodation. A triple or quadruple installation makes it possible to free even more space. This may be a very attractive option, since it translates into more living space onboard – sometimes even an extra cabin
