We are driven by the desire to make driving and owning your boat as enjoyable, trouble-free and simple as possible. That is why Interceptors is our obvious choice for trim systems. The technology is advanced, but we have designed it with our long-term goal – Easy Boating – in mind.

The interceptor technology offers a smooth and precise Auto mode that automatically takes care of all trim adjustments. It will also give you trouble-free handling and a system without corrosion or leaking oil.

How it works
The interceptor blades create pressure underneath the hull, at the stern of the boat. The blades work vertically and create a large lift effect under the hull. This will change the running attitude of the vessel, giving you a lower wave resistance, improved speed and lower fuel consumption.  With less wet surface you also get less drag with Interceptors compared with conventional trim tabs.

Electronically operated
The interceptor systems have all the same per­formance qualities as conventional trim tabs plus the additional benefits of quicker response, less drag and compact design. Unlike conventional trim systems using hydraulics, the sys­tems are operated electronically. As no hydraulic oil is used, there’s no risk of oil leakage in sensitive marine environ­ments.

Quick and smooth response
The Volvo Penta interceptor systems react rapidly. This means faster acceleration and predictable boat behavior. The servo units move the blade a full stroke as fast as two seconds.

A clean transom
The compact design of the interceptors gives a clean transom, perfect for fishing. And the light construction – due to the composite material – does not add as much weight to the stern as conventional trim tabs.

Composite material – virtually maintenance free
The robust interceptors are made from corrosion-free material and require virtually no maintenance. The composite material will not cause any galvanic corrosion and does not require protective anodes that have to be replaced.

  The water force on the large trim tab surface creates upward pressure. The large trim tabs stick out from the hull and are therefore more vulnerable and exposed to damage and fishing line entanglement.
