Princess Yachts is returning to the market for boats under 40 feet with the V39 and diesel engines that are designed to produce world-class acceleration and fuel economy.
For the first time in more than 10 years, English Princess Yachts presented a new boat model in the below-40-foot size class, at this year’s London Boat Show.
The V39 has been the subject of excited anticipation. It is part of the Princess V Series of sports boats which opens up a new and expanding market for Princess Yachts.
The hull of the V39 has been designed and optimised for rapid acceleration and to provide the most fuel economic operation possible at cruising speed. A perfect assignment for the Volvo Penta D6 Series.
“High torque at low engine revs is Volvo Penta’s hallmark. In combination with the best fuel economy in the industry, the D Series enables us to deliver a power pack that will give the Princess V39 all the characteristics modern boat customers require,” says Lars Ljungqvist, head of Corporate and Product Planning at Volvo Penta.
Twin Volvo Penta D6-330 with a total output of 660 hp is fitted as standard in the Princess V39. Top speed is approximately 35 knots.
