by Volvo Penta of the Americas

Following a successful launch to boat builders and dealers, Volvo Penta today unveiled the state-of-the art V8-380 to consumers at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.

“This new-generation, high-performance engine has raised the bar for marine engines and follows a long history of innovation for Volvo Penta,” said Ron Huibers, president of Volvo Penta Americas. “The amount of positive feedback from our customers and the recent 2012 Innovation Award establishes that we have a winner. Now we’re looking forward to hear what consumers have to say about the V8-380.”

“Not only does this engine provide more power and use less fuel, it makes boating fun,” said Marcia Kull, vice president marine sales Volvo Penta of the Americas. “Boating provides a respite from the daily routine. Here at Volvo Penta, we want to power that enjoyable weekend spent on the water.”
