Volvo Penta IPS is highly suited for sport fishing. The stern is unobstructed and the propellers are located under the hull where the risk of the line becoming entangled is minimal. Volvo Penta is now launching a function that has been specially developed for deep sea sport fishing, the “sport fish mode”.

Volvo Penta is now launching a two-blade version of its highly successful folding propeller for sail-boats. The propeller, already previously available with a choice of three or four blades, is now available for boats with engines from seven horsepower and on. The new propeller offers the same benefits of low resistance under sail, high thrust during engine operation and a highly dependable opening function.

Volvo Penta has received two orders for industrial engines from Mexico. These are for a total of 80 of Volvo Penta’s 16-litre diesel engines for powering generators. The orders are valued at approximately 20 million Swedish kronor.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation recognizes Volvo Penta for achieving Partner Level status in the Tennessee Pollution Prevention Partnership (TP3) environmental leadership program.
