Volvo Penta signs collaboration contract with Noatum

Volvo Penta strengthens relationship with top port operator in Spain, both at technical and commercial levels, and will have first-hand feedback on their  products and applications.

Madrid, January 16th 2013.- Last January 11th Volvo Penta signed a framework contract with Noatum that includes spare supply and technical assistance for the terminals. This agreement sets up basis for a partnership relation between both companies, where Noatum will have availability for original spares for their Terminals all around the Iberian Peninsula and Canary Islands at very favorable conditions.

As part of the agreement, Noatum will have access to direct factory support in terms of technical issues. Besides, Noatum will be updated in terms of last technological innovations and developments.

In words of Erwin Thomsen, Noatum’s Operations Manager, “this agreement with Volvo Penta means a great technical improvement, as it allows us unifying spare’s supply together with a direct technical assistance with a unique supplier, generating a unique direct and efficient communication channel”.

In words of TomásPerona, Network Manager of Volvo Penta in Spain, “this agreement strengthens our strategy at terminals, guarantees the supply of all original components for one of the main Port Operators of the market, and assures the availability of machines, as well as opens us the doors to other business areas of Noatum in the future”.

This agreement means also a new positioning for Volvo Penta, who becomes a preferential supplier for future Noatum´s equipments.
