Key features and benefits for D16 - EU Stage V/EPA Tier 4f

Compact design

The D16 power generation engine from Volvo Penta is designed to be compact, low-weight, and well-balanced. A reliable power-pack for smooth operations with low levels of noise and vibrations.

SCR only

The D16 power generation engine’s exhaust after-treatment system only consists of SCR – without EGR, DOC, or DPF. This means a minimum of components, decreased service intervals and no downtime for regeneration. With no EGR there is less heat rejection, leading to excellent power density and fuel economy.

Low on fuel and emission

The D16 power generation engine’s efficient injection and robust design, combined with SCR technology, contribute to efficient fuel consumption, low exhaust emission, and excellent combustion.

Service friendly

The D16 power generation engine is designed with easily accessible maintenance and service points to ease the engine service. A feature particularly valuable in small or tight compartments.
