Assisted Docking
Volvo Penta Assisted Docking, the next generation of marine automation, allows the captain to defy the elements by removing the dynamics of wind and current while maneuvering in tight spaces, enabling safe and easy boat docking, even in challenging conditions. Come “test drive” the Assisted Docking system at our booth using a virtual reality (VR) simulator or check out an Assisted Docking-equipped boat on slip 8D.

An Enhanced D4 and D6 Experience
With over 100,000 units proven on the waters, the Volvo Penta D4 and D6 marine propulsion packages got a comprehensive helm-to-prop update in 2019, delivering more power and reliability, while operating costs are cut by a third. The updates include newly designed engines, a completely new aquamatic sterndrive, an updated IPS drive and an upgraded Electronic Vessel Control System. The proven D4 and D6 marine engines now deliver more power, increased reliability and lower cost of ownership. They are available from 150-480 hp. Leadership Summit 
The 2021 Leadership Summit, “Leadership through Stewardship,” sponsored by Soundings Trade Only, will take place 2-5pm, Monday, September 27. The three-hour workshop led by Dr. Balaji Krishnamurthy, will conclude with a panel discussion of presidents and CEOs from major boating industry companies. Martin Bjuve, president of Volvo Penta of the Americas, will be a featured participant at the 2021 Leadership Summit Industry Panel.
