Innovative Introductions and Sustainable Solutions in Focus for Volvo Penta at MIBS 2023

Volvo Penta will have a significant presence across multiple areas of the world’s largest boating exhibition. The company will showcase its diverse portfolio of solutions for today, while offering glimpses into the boating experience of tomorrow.

With exciting technologies to launch and product demonstrations to experience, attendees will have ample opportunities to engage with Volvo Penta at this year’s Miami International Boat Show. The company will host two booth locations, one in the Convention Center and another at the adjacent Miami Yacht Show, and have four vessels available for test rides at the docks.

Jens Berring, vice president of marine sales for Volvo Penta North America, said:

“Volvo Penta’s presence at Miami this year points to a new and exciting future for those of us who love boating. We already know the passion our customers have for getting out onto the water and experiencing the freedom and pleasure it brings. We’re unveiling new, intuitive solutions that enhance that experience, but also do it more sustainably.”

Interactive Displays – for now and the future

The company will highlight a range of its popular products, technologies and services alongside the innovations it unveils at the show at two different locations – Convention Center and Herald Plaza. The award-winning Assisted Docking technology will be available for visitors to try for themselves at a simulator in booth HP4PA, where they will also find displays of the D6-440 DPI and D13 engines and the IPS 30. At booth MB2414, attendees can learn more about several solutions aimed at an enhanced watersport experience.

In addition, participants are invited to learn about the near-silent cruising enjoyed aboard the hybrid-electric vessel Kvitbjørn, operating deep within the Arctic Circle, in an interactive display. The company will also spotlight its ‘Boating for everyone’ concept, which dares to imagine a brave new world for exploring and experiencing life on the water built around accessibility for all. This concept is the result of imaginative brainpower from a team at Volvo Penta comprising of strategists, business development leaders, digital and service experts, as well as technology designers and engineers, all working in collaboration with colleagues from across the wider Volvo Group. Visitors are encouraged to enter into a dialogue about their ideas around the future boating experience.

Experience Excellence

There will be four different Volvo Penta-powered boats on display at the company’s dock slips 300, 300A, 300B and 300C. This includes the Solace 415CS, Cobalt R35, Cruisers Cantius 54 and an all-new center console that will debut at the show. Test drives will be available throughout the week.

Media are invited to attend Volvo Penta’s press event, taking place Wednesday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m., to learn how the company is redefining the boating experience for today, and into the future.

The Miami International Boat Show takes place from February 15 – 19, 2023 at multiple locations across Miami Beach and Downtown Miami. The annual event is the world’s largest boat and yacht show and invites industry players across the marine leisure market to come together and collectively empower people to explore life on the water.

For those not attending MIBS, updates will be posted across the Volvo Penta’s social media channels throughout the event: Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
