Every competing boat is equipped with one single engine – the standard Volvo Penta D2-75 with S-drive. By generating each boat’s total demand for electricity, it’s decisive for the boat’s ability to compete successfully.
The D2-75 powers all communication equipment, computers, lights, heating, water maker, and the hydraulic pump steering the boat’s canting keel. It is also trusted for driving in harbors and between venues, and emergency situations.
