Founded in 1887, Ringens Varv shipyard, in Marstrand, Bohuslän, is one of the oldest boatyards in the region. Initially, the yard specialised in building fishing boats then expanded into motorized vessels. In 1973, Volvo Penta bought the shipyard and converted it into a specially adapted yard for the service and maintenance of recreational boats. Since 2001, Ringens Varv has been owned and operated by Peter and Pernilla Lind. Today, Ringens Varv is a repair yard for leisure boats and functions as one of Volvo Penta’s authorized dealers.
