Key features and benefits for D16 - EU Stage V/EPA Tier 4f
The world-class fuel efficiency of the D16 industrial engine in combination with the reliable Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EATS), promises high uptime and lower cost of ownership.
For better fuel efficiency – the D16 industrial engine has a dual-stage turbo system, a common rail fuel system, and a water-cooled charge air system. Thanks to easily accessible installation guidelines, drawings, and CAD models, the off-road engine and EATS are easy to install and operate. Also, all material needed in order to install the engine can be ordered as optional equipment from Volvo Penta.
The in-line six-cylinder D16 industrial engine is developed with a common rail system that produces smooth operations with low noise. Volvo Penta’s long experience of SCR systems and base engine development helps maximize engine uptime.
The D16 industrial engine delivers outstanding torque response performance with maximum torque available, even at low rpm, that continues to nominal power. The power and torque layout ensure that the engine operates in a wide engine speed range.
Chosen engine design combined with optimized SCR-only technology ensures that the D16 industrial engine complies with EPA Tier 4 Final and Stage V emissions.
