Our long experience with SCR systems in combination with base engine development ensures maximal uptime. The D5 industrial engine is well balanced for smooth operations with low noise.
SCR technology selected by Volvo Penta does not increase the amount of cooling capacity needed. All material required to install the off-road engine can be ordered from Volvo Penta, and installation guidelines, drawings, and CAD models are easily accessible.
With Volvo Penta’s D5 industrial engine it is possible to reach maximum power and torque at low rpm, with lowered noise and fuel consumption as a result. The flexible layout of the power and torque delivers useful engine speed.
The efficient injection and robust engine design combined with the optimized SCR technology and a cooled EGR contribute to excellent combustion and low fuel consumption.
The D5 industrial engine’s service points are easy to access, making regular maintenance efficient. Optional equipment makes it possible to remote mount filters and service points. Oil change intervals can be as long as 1000 hours.
