The Easy Connect app is capable of showing data provided by your engine, as well as information from additional sensors and functionalities installed in your boat. Here are examples of data that can be accessed:
Engine and boat data: Engine speed, battery voltage, oil pressure, diagnostic trouble codes, coolant temperature, rudder position, depth, fuel tank level.
With Trip Computer (EVC): Average fuel economy, trip distance, fuel economy, time to empty.
Additional features: Store journeys, share journeys.

The app presents your boating data in two modes: Captain View, when connected via Bluetooth® onboard, and Home View, accessing stored data as it was when you last connected to your boat. The app itself is free and available for both iPad and iPhone (iOS® 10 or later) and version 5.0 or later for Android devices with Bluetooth® 4.2. The app requires Volvo Penta Easy Connect Interface installed in your boat.
The Easy Connect Interface kit includes everything you need to get started and is available for purchase at your local Volvo Penta Dealer. The Interface itself plugs directly into the EVC multilink at the helm station, or into the engine harness on non-EVC gasoline engines. Need help? You are able to connect to the Interface, one smart device at a time.
The Easy Connect Interface includes NMEA2000 functionality. This means it can also be connected to an existing NMEA network within the boat. This enables you to access additional data from i.e. speed and depth sensors.
In addition, the Easy Connect Interface can be used to convert engine data into NMEA2000 compatible chart plotters/multi-function displays onboard.
For Android devices, the operating system version must be 5.0 or later with Bluetooth® 4.2 and for Apple devices, iOS 10 or later is required. Easy Connect is compatible with a wide range of Volvo Penta engines from the year 2003 and later. Below you find an overview of compatibility as well as a link to a compatibility list with further information.
Diesel engines
D1 and D2 produced 2007 and later in single and twin non EVC installations.

Diesel and gasoline engines with Electronic Vessel Control (EVC)
D3, D4, D6, D8, D9, D11, D12, D13, V6 and V8 engines in single or twin installations.
