The power behind the FIFA World Cup15/02/2014
In Manaus, construction work battled against time to get the stadium ready on time. The genset contract was won by Stemac, partly for their ability to handle tight time frames. Diems Ollerman, engineering consultant at Stemac put his trust in Volvo Penta: “Volvo Penta engines are reliable and powerful. We’re confident in their ability to perform.”
The installation combined six Stemac gensets powered by Volvo Penta TAD1642GE and TWD1643GE engines for a production of around 700 kVA of energy each.
Final score for the two stadiums: 9 games and 35 goals.
